We welcomed a new little guy into our family this weekend! He's a cutie, although he's not so cute when he's up half the night! His name is Smokey, and he is a very good looking gray American shorthaired cat. He's between 1 and 2 years old (the shelter we adopted him from suggested he may be about a year and a half) and he's quite the affectionate boy.
He's the first cat I've owned, but Adam's family has two kitties, so he's used to Smokey's kitty antics. It'll take me a while to get used to him, and to get used to the fact that he's always here (and will be for some time, unless I develop bad allergies to him). But he's a good kid. I like him. He's cute. Let's hope this will be a nice and rewarding pet experience...with the upcoming semester, I'll need all the rewards I can get!
